   for your region, search businesses (using business type in search query ) that may be interested in those promo items and send them via email (if email listed for that businesses)

   Hi Venu,

   This is just my opinion, but you are moving in the wrong direction with Clickbank if you want to sell actual product and recruit affiliates who sell tangible products. Clickbank is full of downloadable products which are a dime a dozen, get rich quick schemes, etc… with minimal tangible goods.

   You should look at Share a Sale, CJ, Performics, etc… for this; however before you start one on any network, read about adware, parasites, trademark poaching etc…

   Also, read about the NY state tax laws and affiliate marketing.

   You may also want to look at outsourcing to a company who will protect you from the above. The ones I recommend who will protect you from parasites, poaching, etc… are

   Yes, you need to file a 1099 for each affiliate making over $600. This way the government knows how much they can claim.

   I think it is a great idea to have multiple income streams. I think most people
   may get overwhelmed with setting up for example 5 different internet businesses. But I do think it is possible with a systamatic plan. All is possible. Good Luck

   Don't go by what other people are saying. You will get different types of feedbacks based on different types of beleives rather they are true or false. 99 percent of the feedbacks from people, are from people who have not been affiliated. I personally have not been affiliated with this business. Using my business as an example, here's a few things that you should take a look at before getting involved in any company.
   1. How long have they been in business? We checked to see how long our company was around, at the time it was nine years old and now it's 15. Do you know when they started?
   2. Are they registered with the BBB. Ours is registered. I think this is important one.
   3. Who's involved with the company? Like in ours Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki has endorsed our company. Check to see if anyone has endorsed this company. Also, meet with the co-founders. We've personally met our co-founders and found from our first meeting that they were incredible people with incredible visions. See if their's a time where you can meet them. If your going to be doing business, there should be a time where you should have the chance to meet with them.
   4. What is the compensation plan now, and what was it like before.
   See the history of the comp plan and see if increases and never decreases in it's history. We checked with the records in our business and found that in over the years, the compensation plan had only gotten better each year. As long as we've been involved, we've now witnessed the compensation plan always increasing. Check the history on yours.
   5.Have they been featured in magazine's? For instance our company has been featured in several magazines Like Success, Fortune, USA Today etc. Check to see if they have. You can get a lot of information on the company by reading about them.
   6. Has Inc 500 rated them? This magazine or slit rated our company the 22nd fastest growing company in revenue in it's first 5 years. Inc 500 shows the top 500 businesses in revenue growth. Check to see what Inc 500 rated the company your looking at.
   7. Do they have a physical address that you can go to? Check for an address not just a P.O. Box
   8. Where are their headquarters? Our world headquarters is in Farmington Hills Michigan, Personally been there, (If your here in the states) Other headquarters in different countries. and US headquarters in Charlotte.
   9. What does the start up cost take care of? In my business headquarters takes care of all the billing for my customers, Inventory, Customer services, Order Entry, Employees, workman's comp, Cross referencing, Licensing, Insurance, paperwork, accounts payables, accounts receivables etc.
   10. What is the product and service you would be selling.
   Is the product and service in high demand? For instance we offer services that people are already using every day and paying for anyway, but at a lower cost. Things like Local and Long distance telephone services, Internet, video phones, digital phones, cellular phones through all the major cellular providers. We make a percentage every single month they pay their bills. Everyone uses them and everyone pays for them. When money gets tight, would they keep your service or be able to run to the store and be able to purchase them on sale? Leaving you to have to wait until they run out of what they just purchased, or wait until their finances get settled? This is what I mean by high demand.
   So many different things to check out in making sure a business is a good one to get involved in. If the business feels right to you, and all questions are answered with proof, then I'd say jump in. Running a business is different then a job though. You have to treat it like it's your child and not just something your going to "try" you have to believe in the product and service and go at it full force. This is your future your talking about, no one else's.
   I hope my examples of what we looking into with our business helps you be able to find the same answers in your business. Forget about asking the common question and asking someone how much they make in their business to determine if you'd get involved in ISI or not. In a business, it doesn't matter what one business is making over another. It only matters what you do in "YOUR" business. I hate it when people ask me how much I make. Because they're not going to walk into and start up their business making what I make. I've been involved with my business for over six years. So yeah, I will make more. If you tell someone how much you make, then it's a psychological thing that they expect to make that amount in a week, and that is just not going to happen. Six years of building a business verses 1 day. So don't even ask. Look at the possibilities for YOURSELF.

    If you're dealing with reputable companies, don't worry. They're more than willing to pay you a few bucks to keep the program attractive to you and others just like you.

    Some companies use promotional codes to identify which affiliate send the business their way. The problem with these programs is that your friends might forget to insert the promo code. If the program also gives your friend a discount, then she is highly motivated to insert the code. Try to select these.

    It isn't in anybody's interest to cheat you or other affiliates. Publicly traded companies must prove that they have adequate controls of all their financial dealings, and this would just be one of the items that would have to pass that test. If you're working with a small, privately-held company, it's possible that the controls aren't there. But, these companies need you far more that the big boys do, and they know that making sure you earn good dollars is the best way to keep the sales rolling in.

    The pros are that you will have others helping you sell your products and then you normally only pay them once they have sold the item so you can't really loose out on that part of it.

    The cons are that there is quite alot of work involved and you have to advertising your affiliate program just like a site to get affiliates interested in signing up. It's not an easy task running an affiliate program, but you can let 3rd party networks take most of your workload of you by paying them a little extra so that they can practically run it and help get affiliates for you.

    Just in case you are wondering where to get software then there is some of the best affiliate tracking software listed at: http://www.affiliateseeking.com/affiliate-software/1.html

    The ShareASale listing in that link that I have just given you is a very good network that will help you get affiliates and will manage most of the affiliate program for you. You are also able to set up datafeeds, allow lifetime commissions, pay per sale, click, lead, etc.

    That is a very good and reputable network. I'm an affiliate over there, but there has also been a lot of good stuff that their merchants have said to.

    Yes there is very good money to made with affiliate income. The best affiliate programs pay on-going income versus just on the one time sale.

    Having a good website that draws people with search engine traffic is definitely the best way to to, in my opinion.

    This intro reminded me of reading the “Richest Man In Babylon”: The most read book on personal financial management ever written. Among its other suggestions such as owning your own home, saving 10% and making work your best friend it also suggests creating “multiple streams of income”. I am coming to realize that internet marketing is a great way to do that.
