From reading your question, I think you would excel in marketing directly to human beings in the real world. You appear to a good energy level and an understanding of the importance of action to accomplish a goal. I would look for products to market targeted groups such as outside of large office buildings. The flaw in the thinking of the online marketing crowd is that they largely see a free lunch and are not coming to the job with a strong work ethic. Just the way you describe your circumstance as being the general economy and not "I am a victim" says a great deal about you as person. I would search for products of which you are knowledgeable and market those in person. I just do not like buying from a website or even from a tv infomercial. Now, if you are marketing financial products, including, insurance, you may be able to accomplish that via online. Just offer the customer that you are in compliance with state regulations to sell the product. Another approach, would be sell specialty baked goods to select restaurants in your market area.

  2. I think you could combine ideas 1 & 3, as both involve event planning. "Green" is very hot right now, so that could be good for marketing. If you do not exclusively focus on children's party planning, but offer it as one of your specialties, that might work for you. I suggest that you do some market research before you invest any of your money in start-up. Your friends are going to do what friends do and be supportive and tell you it's a good idea, but you really need to know if enough people are going to spend their money on what you are offering.

There are government programs aimed at people who want to start up their own businesses, as well as business development banks, etc. They often have packages to help with doing up a business plan. They have checklists to make sure you consider all the expenses and red tape, such as liability insurance, etc.

    Good luck!

to make money online. There are no upfront costs, and the sites are legit. I have recieved many checks from them before. You earn money by completing surveys, and trying free trials, suck as Netflix. Get a few friends to sign up as you referrals and you can earn even more, plus a $1 bonus on CashCrate. If your not sure about joining, here is some proof of members' earnings for TreasureTrooper: http://forum.treasuretrooper.com/index.php?showtopic=17509&st=460 Try it out!

    Do they pay by check?

  5. I think you can if you're driven!

I languished in the "bookkeeping" part of banks, doing clerical and other jobs… then decided to really dedicate my free time to getting my degree. I earned my BS in Accounting the same weekend my oldest graduated from HS! I started sitting for the CPA right after that – took me 5 attempts to pass all parts, but I finally DID IT! I tell you what, it is the greatest feeling in the world to have passed!

surf around the AICPA website, or your state CPA society, network with other accounting students where you go to school.

Take the H&R tax course either way…. you will learn more about taxes from that than ANYTHING you study for your degree or the CPA exam.

    Best of luck to you!

Since you are a mother, why not try baking and sell it to your friends.
You can start from accepting orders from your neighbors and co-workers. this will lessen your stress in work because you manage your own time.

When did Berny Madoff wave his degree under the noses of his investors? NEVER – nobody but you will ever know, and I might add, care.
When you show people you know how to make money, and are willing to let them make some also, the worlds' your oyster.
But of course your parents are shortsighted, and don't know who you are and what you're capable of. You must follow your dream, and if you fail – guess what – schools always there. Make a deal with your folks, if you can't get your dreams off the runway in 6 or 9 months, you'll pack up and head out and take the first job or go back to school. We only learn how to succeed when we allow ourselves to fail. Go with your force.

What about the IR drop of the power cables and connections, your hysteresis loss and the friction of the bearings. Also what is the efficiency of the motor and the generator? P (in)=P(out) less the efficiency of the unit. We've all thought of that at one time or another in careers, but it won't work. I retired as an electrician, after 50 years of getting bit. When you think about the physics you'll know it won't work.
